At home with his Majesty, Cabernet Sauvignon
Worthy of a terroir with exceptional weather and geographical conditions, Pauillac is the appellation accommodating the greatest numer of First Growths. It is the holy land of Cabernet Sauvignon, where the « King of the grape varieties » exposes its divine character. Latour, Mouton Rothschild, Lafite Rothschild, the greatest amongst the great, confirm this.
It was from Pauillac, a former commercial port and the estuary’s first, that some of the wines were shipped to conquer foreign markets. Full-bodied, smooth, generous and complex, with tight and spicy tannins, famous for their infinite ageing capacity, the wines of Pauillac contribute to its reputation of being the wine capital of the Médoc.
